THE ABORTION CONTROVERSY

abortionShould I abort the baby when the doctor says it’s going to kill me? Wait— it? First of all, the foetus or baby is not an ‘it’… whether its four weeks old or eight months old. Why? Because the physical body isn’t all that there is. We all existed before we were born, because God said so! He knew us before we were conceived and had a plan for us!

Okay, so why then is the world such a terrible place if God planned good for everyone and doesn’t want anyone to go the wrong way?

Easy: Man has the WILL. Man was given the CHOICE. God will always give you the choice— wrong or right? Left or right? Up or down? He will provide you with tips to make the right choice. But ultimately, he won’t decide for you!

Hold on a second, I will return to the abortion bit… Jeroboam was destined to rule Israel after Solomon’s heart was turned away from God in the latter days, and the kingdom was foreseen to leave David’s house for a number of generations. What did Jeroboam do when he learned of God’s plan for him? He rejected it, and chose his own “reasonable” plan. The rest is history— he was dubbed ‘the man who made Israel sin’ and God restored the line of Christ back to the House of David.

Back to the abortion… You are going to do it because it will kill YOU if you don’t? Where is your FAITH? I know I am VERY controversial with this article, but well, I have the chance to express myself! There are countless stories of how ladies were declared barren. Their wombs were destroyed, and they were NEVER going to give birth. Does that sound familiar? Sarah, Abraham’s wife was one of those people who were physically condemned to not give birth. Even she doubted, but what happened?

Abortion is deemed evil when a promiscuous girl gets pregnant and decides to abort, or when an unmarried lady chooses to sleep around and gets pregnant. But when a married woman decides to abort a baby on ‘medical’ grounds, it suddenly becomes a necessary evil! When did the wrong thing become partially wrong, or conditional?

Personally, I believe that children are gifts from God, born or unborn. My mother or your mother were probably married when they conceived us. Does that mean they would have been justified to get rid of us if they had thought of us as threats to their own lives? Think about it. Where would you have been, reading this article?

I do believe we all have varying degrees of faith, and not everyone will have the courage or faith to put their life on the line for an unborn child. But this is my thought: I have enjoyed some life on this earth, and I have enjoyed God’s gifts. If I will die in that hospital room, then I will put my house in order, and then see myself as the channel through which another life will get the chance to enjoy God’s gift of life in this present world. Whether you think it’s a bluff or not, I think I would feel much better with this thought than asking myself what that baby could become… if God himself is watching over us, and recognizes you as His child, and does not require you to leave this world, He will intervene when you think it’s impossible for him to do so, irrespective of our choices—those are the rare times when he awards FAITH.

Example, do you know what it would mean for the sun to stop moving because a man asked God to make it stop? That means the earth actually stopped moving! God did that for a man who was fighting for him on the battlefield! How awesome is that?

I can’t convince you to make a choice; I can only say what I think… I think whether or not it’s considered safe or unsafe, bad or good… abortion isn’t the right thing to do. A life is asking for a chance to live… Will you make it happen?

I understand my faith, but I personally wouldn’t ‘test God’… It’s like saying Jesus should have jumped from the mountain when Satan asked him to. As a doctor, Ill say that If it’ll be a risk to your life…well I don’t think you should take chances… unless I’m super sure it’s God’s will for my life

Well doc, I personally do not believe it is testing God, I see it as having Faith in him, doing what’s right, and preserving a life. Yes, it may be a risk of my life, but would I rather kill or risk another’s life? 😉 I wouldn’t be able to live with it…

      • Yaw Ansong

so in the process of ‘preserving a life’ you can loose two lives. The life of the mother and the baby…then what do you gain?

        • http://theprinceford.com Princeford El-Roy Agudzeamegah

Well doc, I believe the mother’s life won’t be lost unless God allows it. There have been ‘crazy’ instances, not to mention cases of ‘you can never give birth’ etc.. But God always makes a point… Faith is always rewarded. Nothing’s too big for Him. That’s what I know… luckily, I’m living proof! 🙂

          • Yaw Ansong

can you share your story? since you’re a living proof.

          • http://theprinceford.com Princeford El-Roy Agudzeamegah

Sure Yaw! Before I was born, my mum was told early on that I was too big, and that I could kill her/ give her a chronic waist problem at best if we both survive… She already had two kids… I was kind of dispensable… She said “What? No!”. She was going to have me. Well, she did. Ironically, I’m some skinny dude now. 🙂 And everything is fine!

Amen Princeford. Thank you for that blessed testimony of your mama’s faith in Christ. I also was pregnant in my later years. They told me I needed to have tests to make sure my baby was safe because of my age. I didn’t have them. I said “Why bother? If something is wrong, I’m still having the child so why go through 9 months of pregnancy being miserable worrying & praying about a child who could be healthy to being with?” I now have a 14 year old & 13 year old twins. Healthy as horses. My faith in God was far stronger than what a doctor could ever reveal to me. If I die – It’s my time. It’s not for anyone to say when.

Wow Tammy, now that is a great story! We thank God! 🙂

God bless you for testimony. I had a change of heart 🙂

        I agree Princeford

However, in the end, God has the final say-so. Not a doctor on earth can destroy what He has come to create. I’ve never been in the place of these mothers but I pray 100% I would make a choice based on my relationship with Christ & not something that someone in a medical field has told me. For If it was not for our Jehovah Rapha, a doctor couldn’t heal a doggone thing. Is it really a chance? Does faith in God mean you’re taking chances? Aren’t you taking chances the very minute you walk out of the house? God isn’t a God of chances. Matthew 10:28 states And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Our faith lies in the Creator, not His creation.

Amen. God bless you so much 🙂

          You as well brother

    • Yaw Ansong

Was Jesus doubting God when he decided not to jump from the mountain?

      • http://www.personaltouchmaids.org/ TammyHenson

I’m sorry but I don’t understand what your reasoning is here & what this has to do with anything. Of course, He wasn’t doubting God because He is God. He wouldn’t play Satan’s mind games. He didn’t need to jump off of the very thing that He Himself had created. He could have just spoke & the mountain would fall.
