RED HANDED

My husband had gone off for some days, what a relief! I couldn’t help but think of the coming night, when I would be in the hands of the other man who truly made me feel warm. My husband was a nice man, but he had lost his passion and desire for me and for love somewhere along the line. He was now concerned about money for the home, clothes for the kids, what he would eat, all these just made him dry. Before we were married, he would sing to me, play with my hair, and just be with me. We never thought of money or clothes. Now this other man was filling all the empty spaces that my husband left, I knew it was wrong, but I just kept going.

It was late and very dark, so I got dressed up, covered my hair and my face and set off, to meet my love. I sneaked into his room a few minutes past midnight and my love way there to meet me. He opened the door and embraced me, so passionately, then we lay on the bed, I could smell his sweet fragrance, his breadth, and all thus while we lay together he would whisper sweet words to me.

Then suddenly, we heard footsteps hurrying towards the door. My heart sank. I began to shiver and sweat begun dripping down my face! Then there were heavy knocks on the door, I leaped out of bed. Before we could have time enough to put on our clothes, the people were inside the room! I was caught red-handed in adultery!!

Jesus-writing-on-floorI was doomed! I knew they were going to stone me to death. They pulled me out of the bed, and dragged me out of the room. One of the men grabbed my hair and I screamed in agony, another held the little piece of clothing I had left on me and pulled me along also! I knew it was my end. It was when they launched me outside that I notice it was dawn. As they pulled me out into the streets, almost everyone came to catch a glimpse of the woman caught in adultery. They pulled me through the streets and I was covered in shame. Then they brought me and asked him what should be done to me. My heart sank, because I knew it wouldn’t be anything less than death, I have seen it being done to many women. I watched the man as he bowed just writing on the floor. The whole place was silent. Everyone waited for an answer. He just kept writing.

Then he said, “he who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first”. In a twinkle of an eye, they had all left. I was amazed! Then he stood up and lifted his eyes towards me. I could see love in his eyes, forgiveness in his eyes. Then he said to me “woman, where are all those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” “No one Lord” I replied. Then he said once more “Neither do I condemn you: go and sin no more.”

So I went, and never repeated my sins. That was the day I met the man who saved my life, and saved my soul from the pits of hell. I later heard that He has been crucified on the cross, and has extended the forgiveness he gave to me to the whole world through his blood. You can read about my story in John 8:1-11.

No matter how sinful you are, he can cleanse you. This man never condemns, He never accuses, and He only forgives. His name is Jesus. Will you run to Him? If you will, then say these words out loud.

“LORD JESUS”

“THANK YOU FOR DYING ON THE CROSS FOR ME”

“I CONFESS WITH MY MOUTH THAT YOU ARE LORD”

“AND BELIEVE IN MY HEART THAT GOD RAISED YOU FROM THE DEAD”

“COME INTO MY HEART TODAY LORD”

“AND BE THE LORD OF MY LIFE”

“IN JESUS NAME I HAVE PRAYED”

“AMEN”

That’s all it takes. Hurray!! You are born again! But there are many steps to take after here in order to know Jesus fully. Do get in touch with any of us, and we will gladly hold your hand as we both walk through this life with Jesus.

Amen and GOD BLESS YOU!

      AMEN!

Yes he can and will forgive us of our sins. We must also remember he said “Go and sin no more” which meant we repented and were truly sorry for our sin and we would go forth changed and not commit this sin willfully in the future. If not we are not saved and our fate is as it was before.

    • daisy

Yes rick! I perfectly agree! After forgiveness of all our sins, Jesus commands us to Go and sin no more. But again, no matter how many times we fall, we shld remember that Jesus is always waiting for us once again! Better to run back to the cross, than to than wallow in the mud

In Biblical Hebrew, the idea of repentance is represented by two verbs: ??? shuv (to return) and ??? nicham (to feel sorrow),

thus once we repent, a key sign is that we never return to our evil ways, due to our sorrow. God bless you all…

      • daisy

That’s true guys remorse without return is not true repentance. But deep remorse and deep desire to return is true repentance

    • Raquel

You know what I love. Jesus takes our sins when He forgives us in the sea of forgetfullness meaning Jesus never holds it over our heads, or throws it back in our faces we truly have an awesome God 🙂 Praise the Lord Jesus 🙂

Yet, though he forgives us, we fail to forgive ourselves most of the time. Then whenever we want to go to him, we pray for forgiveness for the same old sins he’s forgiven us for…and he’s like ‘I don’t remember them any more, what is this guy thalking about?” lol….

        God bless you all.

Raquel, you know, though I believe God forgives our sins, I have the conviction we bear the consequences of our sins though. What do you guys think?

      • daisy

Praise the Lord. That’s one thing that makes Jesus awesome! We humans know how say I forgive u! But let something else come up and we smash all the persons previous sins back in his or her face!! But Jesus???????????????? He is simply our King. He really did come to take our sins away!! God bless u brother

  • Raquel

UR right Yaw we are the ones who hold onto our sins, and we beat ourselves over and over and of course we will always have ppl try to remind us of such things, but I have come to the conclusion in my life if someone tries to threw up my past mistakes I do NOT give them that power off me NO more, if God does NOT hold me there neither will I allow anyone else! yes Yaw I do believe our own doing leads us to our own consequences then many complain trying to blame God for what we do 🙂 humans are funny sometimes good thing God knows we r not perfect 🙂
