FORGIVE FROM YOUR HEART

forgivenessI was once hurt by a brother I loved so much. He really let me down and the pain and disappointment was great. I felt like I had lost a part of me because I knew I could never be that close to my friend again. But sooner or later, I realized  holding on to the wrong done you by a brother, leaves you drained, empty and should I say, leaves a disgusting feeling in you.

So I realized I needed to be healed. I realized I needed to forgive those who had hurt me. I realized I didn’t want to lose Jesus just because of what was going on. He means so much to me. I really needed help and that desperation took me to church.

I went in with an expectation. I canceled all appointments in order to make it to church. I was desperate! I do not know how to explain the intensity of my emotions, but I do know you can relate with me because we all have once been hurt by someone we dearly love.

But God, who sees our hurt, touched me at church right from the bible studies, worship and then to the sermon. The song ministration was the beginning of my healing therapy and before I knew it, the service was over. I had the tears and pain locked inside of me for a long time flow freely as the pastor spoke that day. I felt so loved by God.

“ Why do you love me so much”, I asked God? “Why do you care for me?” He touched me just at my point of need. He helped me forgive. He gave me a heart that forgives.

I do not know what you are struggling with right now. But you will agree with me that keeping the load and the hurt sucks!!!. “Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your soul. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”(says Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30). So read Matthew chapter 18 and talk to the King and I know that the God, who healed me, will fill your broken heart with joy and mend your life in Christ Jesus. You can then say to that loved one, “ In my strength I cannot forgive you. But with the help of God, I can. Yes, I do forgive you love.”

What more, live your life, act like it never happened and be happy for IT’S TURNING AROUND FOR YOUR GOOD.
